Purgason in the Political Fix article to be particularly enlightening and discouraging: <blockquote>"There is a lot of money and influence behind this decision," he said. "That's politics."</blockquote> When it comes to economic development, elected officials should put their money where their mouth is, not the other way around.  I find the following quotation from Sen.
