		<description>Good points, Caitlin. I agree with your suggestions for improving the list. I was mostly reacting to the fact that the public schools I attended assigned ZERO classics (and no reading at all in subjects like science and history). This list would be a big step up from what I was assigned. But your ideas would make it even better.</description>

		<description>At the very least, if they do adopt the list without modification, the students would be exposed to some great books.  Though from my perusal, I was disappointed in the number of classics, though there are a few each year.  I think the list would have benefited from longer lists of suggestions, so that teachers and school districts who don&#039;t modify it much would at least have a larger list to choose from.  Also, I think the packet would be more helpful if it had a description of the book and its reading level (separate from grade level) because different children have different abilities, and it would be good to be able to tailor class lists to those abilities.  Granted, teachers and school districts SHOULD be doing this on their own, but the problem with providing a list like this is that many will just assume they have nothing left to do.</description>
