How fitting. The whole notion of government-run schooling originated in Prussia, the rogue state that united Germany at gunpoint. It's no coincidence that Germany's greatest achievements in science, medicine, art, culture and music came BEFORE it was a unified country, and we all know what happened after unification. But I digress.

Public school advocates don't like home schooling because it interferes with the government plan to turn children into good little citizens of the state. Pink Floyd was right when they said in their critique of public education "all in all we're just another brick in the wall".

This family was correct to seek asylum.
