You&#039;re not treating this as an opportunity cost. More consumption of so-called &quot;clean energy&quot; will likely result in less consumption of other kinds of energy and offsetting job losses in those sectors. Clean energy may or may not be more efficient depending on whether it reduces externalities that result from other kinds of energy use.

In any case, policies that create relatively high-paying jobs in Missouri are likely to find a sympathetic ear from Missouri voters. Missourians care more about jobs in Missouri than elsewhere. I think that&#039;s silly, but it&#039;s still true.</description>
