A Sure-Fire Way to Hold On to a Revenue Source
If this pre-filed bill becomes law, red-light cameras will be with us forever. H.B. 1229 would send all revenue from the cameras to school districts. Anyone who opposes cameras at intersections would then appear to be an enemy of education.
You will never be able to find a enough revenue sources for Missouri’s public schools. The biggest problem is Missouri has over 500 school districts that is probably 350 to many. Kansas is studying reducing school districts again, Missouri needs to reduce school districts before anymore revenue sources are discussed.
