		<description>Despite what free marketeers believe, privatization is not the answer to all our problems.  Adding toll roads would serve to decrease commerce.

As your article points out, raising the gas tax accelerates the switch to fuel efficient cars.  Isn&#039;t that a good thing?  It would also encourage use of rail for transportation between major urban areas.  Also a good thing.

There are some things that ought to be available to all and financed publicly.  In addition to education, police and fire protection, highways and bridges are among those.</description>

		<description>An added benefit of this would be that the Bandit and the Snowman could easily make their deadline by shifting north into Missouri and avoiding traffic in the truck only lanes to get to Kansas to get their Coors Banquet beer.</description>
