		<description>I agree with vroman about kindergarten but not college. Kindergarten is all about conforming and taking a nap at the same time as everyone else. In college, you&#039;re not in class for so many hours and you have to read a lot between classes.</description>

		<description>I have long held the belief that liberal arts colleges are effectively the same as kindergarten.
Age 5: Probably never been in institutional setting before. Probably will get very little out of school, spending more time being disciplined to conform to behavioral expectations, than any learning.
Kindergarten = Day care with the explicit function of teaching the sole lesson of &quot;this is how you sit still for X hours&quot;

Age 18: Never done office type work before. Probably used to coasting by, possibly talking back to teachers, etc.
Employer: Oh you have a BA? you must know how to sit still.

Neither college nor kindergarten impart any factual knowledge per se. Completion just signals you are ready to behave correctly for the next level.</description>
