		<description>tragedy of the commons. having complete control of when and where your transportation stops and goes is obviously very convenient, and so all else held equal: car&gt;bus. but roads are a rivaled good, and others using roads makes them less valuable to you. so the relative cost of owning a car goes up the more ppl drive cars, simply bc they are less efficient at getting you where you need to go. the logical extreme is that eventually road use is so problematic that there is no economic incentive to purchase a car. but you still need to get places beyond easy walking distance, so mass transit will become relatively atractive option. solution: privatize busing, or atleast open it to competiton. as population rises, buses will inevitably become profitable if they arent now.</description>
