Perhaps I was not clear in my post.  I did not mean to dispute the fact that funds from the state government are allocated on the basis of attendance, so that if a student leaves (or is absent from) a public school, the state withholds that funding.  My point, which is factually accurate, is that educational funds raised by the cities and counties will remain with the local school district regardless of students&#039; attendance.  Thus, when a student ceases to attend a district&#039;s public schools, the district&#039;s per-pupil spending (the amount of education funding divided by the number of students enrolled) goes up.</description>

		<description>When a student leaves, the school keeps the money? Where did you find that information? The truth is that schools are funded based on attendance. So if a student leaves (actually even if the student is absent), the school LOSES that funding.
